The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a comprehensive civil rights law that was enacted to protect individuals with disabilities from discrimination. Any business that is considered a “place of public accommodation” is required to provide equal access to services under the nondiscrimination requirements of Title III of the ADA. The law requires that businesses provide qualified individuals with disabilities equal access to their programs, services, or activities. The U.S. Department of Justice has determined this applies to accessibility of information available on the web. This means your business website needs to be ADA compliant!
